My yoga journey started five years ago when a friend asked if I would join her at a yoga class. Little did I know at the time, how much that first class would begin to transform my life. I experienced a peace in my body that I didn’t realize was missing. As I continued to explore various classes and styles, yoga quickly became the catalyst for change on every level: emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
As a young adult, I was drawn to the wellness field and owned and operated a massage business for more than 10 years. Due to health issues, I was forced to leave that career and moved into the corporate world, where I still work today. Discovering yoga has been like going home for me. It is the bridge that connects my inner and outer worlds. It provides just the right combination of gentle movement, breath work and connection to my interior to continually restore my health.
I believe that yoga is accessible to everyone and the beautiful thing is we get to start wherever we are at; working within any limitations in a safe and supportive way. As the love for this practice deepens and grows, so does my desire to give back. I want to share this love with others and provide a space for people to find peace, quiet and calm in this busy world we live in. I am grateful every day that I walked into that first yoga class, because I simply would not be the same person I am today.
